Here are a few games that can be played on the sand while the tide is out:
Follow The Leader: Grab a stick and start dragging it along the ground making crazy patterns for the kidlets to follow. I gave my eldest little charge a turn and she made big swirls and pointy hair pin turns – I even fell over following it! Lots of laughter was had and anyone can do it.
Sand Drawing: Look at the wet sand as a huge canvas for yourself and the kiddies. Use your feet, hands, toes, fingers, sticks, shells and spades. Your artwork or story can go on and on until the ocean reaches you or you and the kiddies tire out.
Crossing the Channels: A sensory experience for the kidlets to explore what lives under water. My little charges are becoming rather confident crossing the channels by themselves now which is wonderful to see their confidence grow.
